Marie Stopes accused of over 700,000 Nigeria 2018 abortions

International human rights non-governmental organization, CitizenGO, has claimed that seven hundred thousand babies were aborted in Nigeria in the year 2018 by the abortion clinic chain, Marie Stopes.

The NGO, which has taken it upon itself to campaign against abortions worldwide, added that “just last year alone (2018), 42 million babies died from abortions, and in Nigeria, Marie Stopes takes pride in the abortion of over 700,000 babies in that number.”

CitizenGO’s Ann Kioko added that “Marie Stopes has been notorious in breaking the law even where abortion is illegal. They’ve been banned in countries like Niger where they were caught carrying out abortions. Out of the efforts of CitizenGO Africa, their clinics were also suspended in Kenya last year.

“We need to stop them now. Nigerians need to boycott any activity by Marie Stopes including that of giving contraception to teenagers.
