Embarrassment! D’Banj’s producer, DeeVee, dumps him

The ongoing saga of Emergency singer, D’Banj, is one that nobody can predict or see where it’ll end up. Just some years ago, he was the hottest urban singer in the country, but when he and his partner-producer, Don Jazzy, separated, the music loving public began to find fault with him. The songs he released after the unexpected separation met with severe criticism, and till date, criticisms trail most of his moves. Recently, he’s experienced some low points which aptly make it obvious that music lovers don’t really reckon with him that much anymore. For instance, late last year, his producer, DeeVee, alleged that celebrated rapper, Olamide, has been stealing lyrics from D’Banj. The public however didn’t care about the revelation as they are really feeling Olamide now so believed that D’Banj was only trying to trend through Olamide. Last month, at the birthday celebration of Ben Murray-Bruce, he embarrassed himself further by begging Jazzy publicly to do a beat for him. He then invited Jazzy to come on stage with him, but Jazzy didn’t, and so he trended for the wrong reasons: that Jazzy snubbed him and that he’s begging him for a beat. Now, his latest low is probably that a producer who was virtually unknown when they started working together, but became really known through his association with him, has dumped him, and one doesn’t have to think hard before guessing why a producer who’s still trying to really find his feet would walk out of his association with an artist of D’Banj’s calibre.
