CitizenGO battles Kenya “babies’ massacre”

CitizenGO is currently embroiled in the task of preventing the legalization of abortions in Kenya. According to an email it sent out on the issue: We need to help the prolife movement in Kenya. The Linda Uhai Consortium will deliver your signatures to the high court in Kenya as well as hold a mini-demo at the high court next month.

It will be very tragic if we allow abortion on demand in Kenya. We need to stop it. Many people underestimate the power of prayer but prayers can move mountains! Kindly join us in prayers and when called upon to demonstrate and are in Nairobi, Kenya, please come with your prolife message to the high court!

Safe or unsafe abortion=dead babies

It would be very bad news if a bench of judges rules in favour of wanton massacre of babies through "safe abortion" guidelines

The Kenyan High Court has been petitioned to consider reinstating guidelines on "safe abortion" in a case where the Federation for Women Lawyers in Kenya (FIDA) is suing the Ministry of Health.  The guidelines had been thrown out by the Ministry of Health in 2013 after they were found to be a back door effort seeking a license to kill unborn children though the misreading of the constitution to mean that abortion is legal in Kenya.

The constitution is written in lay language and not in medical language. Abortion here is therefore the same as induced miscarriage or the deliberate termination of pregnancy by killing the unborn child. A plain reading of the law therefore means that deliberate termination of pregnancy which would lead to the death of the unborn child is not permitted unless, in the opinion of a trained health professional  there is need for emergency treatment, or the life or health of the mother is in danger, or if permitted by any other written law. The trained health professional is held solely responsible for their opinion.

According to statistics, legalization of abortion only increases its procurement and because the risks of the procedure to the mother don’t change, the increased abortions would lead to higher rates of complications and death among women who procure abortion.

If these guidelines are reinstated, it will be a big loss to human dignity, the right to life, the unborn child, the pro-life movement in Kenya and the world as abortion will be offered on demand.
