The female Yoruba language rap
scene should start witnessing some real fireworks soon as Beambo Taylor, an
newcomer, is making some solid moves that will definitely hurt the stock of the
lady who’s been holding the genre together for some time now, Mz Kiss.
With songs like Figure 8,
Spartacus, Stoopid, Ikilo, Wawu, Kiss has been the female Yoruba language rapper
with the most visible presence but suddenly Taylor is knocking on her door
challenging her for top honours.

And Taylor doesn’t hold back in
her buzzing song, Funwon Finish,
which’s lyrics and title severely attack someone who can be no other person than Kiss.
So will Taylor and Kiss be
another case of Davido and Wizkid or one of them will easily bite the dust for
