Yvonne Nelson, Sarkodie fight Ghana’s government

Last week, sexy actress Yvonne Nelson was crying over the fact that she doesn’t have a man she can call her own. This week, however, what she’s crying about is that her home country, Ghana, has started experiencing power outages it wasn’t before. And truly, one of the things that have stood Ghana out in recent times is that it has uninterrupted daily power supply and it even celebrated ten years of uninterrupted power supply not too long ago. But it seems Ghana has regressed in its electricity achievements as two of its top celebrities, Nelson, and Sarkodie, a rapper, have now gotten so tired of the power outages to the extent that they’ve planned a protest against it. In a letter addressed to the Regional Commander, Ghana Police Service, Greater Accra Region, Accra, and titled ‘Notice of a Special Event - #DumsorMustStop Vigil,’ and signed by their lawyers, Nana Akwasi Awuah, and Kofi Bentil, the lawyers made it known that Nelson and Sarkodie want to stage a protest against epileptic power supply in their country. The letter goes thus: “We act as lawyers for Yvonne Nelson and Michael Owusu Addo, (more popularly known as Sarkodie), and we have thei consent and authority to write you this letter. “As you may have heard by now, Yvonne Nelsosn started an online campaign dubbed #DumsorMustStop which received enormous support by Sarkodie, other celebrities and Ghanaians in general. As citizens of this great country, Yvonne and Sarkodie consider it their civic duty to God and country to walk the talk by embarking on a peaceful vigil in order to drive home the message. “We therefore write pursuant to the Public Order Act, 1994 (Act 491) to give you notification of the said event. We trust that you shall accord our clients the utmost cooperation in discharge of their civic duty to embark on this all-important event.”
