Yet another senseless video from Cynthia Morgan ... Seyi Shay too
There’s nothing as frustrating as seeing a senseless music video; and Cynthia Morgan is certainly doing
her best to put out many a senseless video.Just two months ago, she put out
the video of her song, German Juice,
and it wasn’t a spectacular video that could set the trend.
It was just the usual video packed
full of girls coming across as sexy but lacking in any real creativity.
Now, just two months after she
put out a video that has failed to capture the imagination of people the way
Davido’s Aye did, she has put out yet
another such video, this time for her song, Come
And Do.
In it, she dances energetically in
a junk yard and in a garage and only flittingly tries to portray the theme of
the song in just a few scenes.
All in all, the essence of the
song didn’t come across in the video, making it seem senseless in the process.
And just like Cynthia, Seyi Shay
too put out a video, Jangilova, that
lacks any real meaning last week.
This was quite surprising as Shay
is one of the artists who has consistently put out videos that you can watch.
Her video for Irawo was filled with suspense as she
got washed up on a beach and a king wanted to make her his by force but she
willfully escaped his clutches.
Murda’s video is one of the most captivating videos to have ever
come out of Nigeria. She came across very sexy in it and it worked as the song
became a sensation. Her Crazy video with Wizkid is, simply put, a work of art,
as it depicted perfectly the essence of the song.
Her latest video, Jangilova, is a total disappointment, sadly.
Though the song itself has its
own flaws lyrically, but is however very pleasant to listen to, the video is certainly
nothing to write home about.
