It’s not easy to be or become a billionaire. 

That’s why there're just a few of them in the world.According to a recent statistic, there are just one thousand, six hundred billionaires in the world’s population of six billion people. 

Many of these billionaires made their pile themselves. 

And some of them inherited theirs from their parents or husbands or whoever who made it, kicked the bucket and left it all to them. 

And when you now relate billionaires to the Nigerian entertainment industry, you’ll discover that there are some potential billionaires in the industry. 

Potential billionaires, I say, because none of them is an actual billionaire, and neither are any of them in line to make billions in the nearest future. 

All the same, they're potential billionaires because their parents are billionaires as they can inherit billions thereby. 

So these entertainment billionaires are very successful in entertainment because they have too much money to buy themselves fame. 

They're very successful because they do entertainment out of passion and not because they are desperate to become successful materially through entertainment. 

Top on this list of Nigeria’s entertainment billionaires is definitely the Omo Baba Olowo (Child of a rich Man) himself, Davido.

When it comes to the issue of money, it’s not a secret Davido has so much of it, courtesy of his father who has just too much of it himself. Davido is probably the only entertainer in the country that if he says he bought an item for a whopping sum, he can be believed, because his father has the money and his father gives it to him, and what he makes on his own is just extra. 

So when he disclosed that he bought a mansion in Lekki for over a hundred million naira, no one doubted him. 

Likewise when he said he bought a Mercedes Benz G-Wagon for forty million, or that his father chartered a luxury plane just to fly him to a show. 

Another person that is on this exclusive list, and must be thanking her lucky stars for making her so privileged is Eku Edewor. 

She’s known as an on-air personality, a compere and a socialite who’s fashionable and beautiful. Many people probably just see her as the girl next door, but she’s more than that. She also comes from great wealth and even if she has not been entrusted with the family fortune at this point in time, that might just happen one of these days. 

While Eku doesn’t seem to be popularly connected with billions like Davido, DJ Cuppy is also popularly connected to billions. 

She’s a DJ who has handled the wheels of steel at some prestigious events and trends for the littlest things like strolling in New York.

But not a few people would argue strongly that her major fame at this point in time is due to her father being the billionaire oil magnate, Femi Otedola. 

Unlike Davido and Eku who have actually achieved some tangible things in the entertainment industry, Cuppy is yet to really prove her worth as an entertainment practitioner. 

But people don’t really care whether she proves herself or not. 

Just by being Otedola’s daughter, she has proven herself and it’s enough for many people that they have access to her through her entertainment aspirations. 

Aspiring singer, Bim, is yet another billionaire child who probably broke daddy’s heart by electing to go into entertainment instead of daddy’s business. 

Her father is the renowned billionaire, Antonio Deinde Fernandez, and Bim is the daughter whose music aspiration initially made daddy afraid that his precious daughter might be kidnapped and a ransom placed on her head. 

Like Cuppy, Bim is not yet making major waves in the Nigerian music industry, but she has what it takes to get to the top. 

She started playing music instruments from when she was just four years old, on the directive of her father, and she released her debut single, Let’s Take It Naked, last year. 

Though these four are definitely not the only entertainment personalities who might inherit billions, they are the most prominent of such entertainment billionaires and they are fully living the jet set lifestyle, not faking it like many other entertainers. 

Oh well, everybody cannot be born with a diamond spoon.
