The Wedding Party gathers momentum

A conniving aother-in-law, a jealous ex-girlfriend, and a best man missing in action are just samples of some of the hilarious characters over 1400 attendees met at the soldout world premiere of Kemi Adetiba’s The Wedding Party at the Toronto International Film Festival. Set in Lagos, Nigeria, The Wedding Party is the story of Dunni Coker (Adesua Etomi), a 24-year-old art gallery owner and only daughter of her parents about to marry the love of her life, IT entrepreneur Dozie (Banky W). They took a vow of chastity and are looking forward to a ground-breaking first night together as a married couple. Samsoft ministers to the youths

Acclaimed gospel music minister, Samsoft, has encouraged the youths by ministering to them at a one-day youth summit organized by the Samsoft Music Ministry in conjunction with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria Round-About Unit Youth Wing. The summit held Saturday, September 3rd at Favour Assembly along Effurum Sapele Road, Warri, Delta State, and speaking about it, Samsoft said the summit is in line with his vision of giving back to the state that was a blessing to him by supporting its young men and women of a bright future by standing as a mentor and positive role model to them. Speaking during the summit, he spoke on vision and purpose of existence and encouraged and educated the young people on how to achieve good success by focusing and investing in their vision to say no violence and yes to vision success. And in appreciation, he was given an award of honour as the patron of PFN Round-About Unit Youth Wing.

Nigeria-Russia cooperation agreement on nuclear plants unacceptable -ERA

The Environmental Rights Action/Friends of the Earth Nigeria (ERA/FoEN) has criticized the Nigerian government’s cooperation agreement with Russia’s ROSATOM to build four nuclear power plants in the country despite inherent dangers and at a time most civilized nations are exploring safe renewables. A release from the communications department of ROSATOM (see link: http://www.rosatom.ru/en/press-centre/news/russia-and-nigeria-signed-an-inter-governmental agreement-about-construction-of-a-center-for-nuclear/n) stated that the Nigeria-Russia deal was brokered on 30 May 2016 on the sidelines of the VIII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2016 which held May 30-June 1, 2016 in Moscow and will start with the construction of a Center for Nuclear Research and Technology in Sheba, Abuja. The agreement provides for the construction of a center with the two-circuit pool-type reactor of the Russian design and a nominal power rating of 10 MW in Sheba, Abuja.
