IPC launches development charters for three Lagos communities
The International Press centre (IPC) has presented to the public its development charters for Erejuwa-Makoko, Otumara and Isale Iwaya communities in Lagos. The charters are the result of a project, Strengthening Citizens Engagement in Electoral Process (SCEEP), implemented by IPC with the support of ACTIONAID and UKAID from the Department for International Development. The launching, which held at the council of Lagos Mainland LGA, Oyingbo, Lagos, had Adeola Soetan, National Coordinator, Democracy Vanguard, as the guest speaker, and his keynote address was aptly titled Enhancing Grassroots Development: Integrating Community Stakeholders in Governance.
