I owe my life to my lover -Yemi Rush
London-based Nigerian singer and
songwriter, Yemi Rush, who was recently crowned Diaspora Afro Hip-Hop Artist of
the Year at the Podium Recognition Awards, and nominated for Artist of the Year
at the African Pride Awards, has just debuted his brand new Do Me Right music
video featuring exciting Nigerian musician and 2016 MOBO Award nominee,
Moelogo.
Taken from his critically
acclaimed sophomore EP, Y63, which was released in September to rave reviews,
Do Me Right sees him linking up with fellow London-based musician Moelogo for
the first time to deliver a buttery smooth afropop track with R&B
sensibilities led by superb vocal displays from both crooners and complemented
by the Lexyflow-produced musical backdrop.
The simple yet exquisite visuals
for Do Me Right were shot and edited by Lotus Media and filmed in London’s Canary
Wharf, and according to Rush, the record and accompanying video were “inspired
by my lady lover. She's the pillar to my standing success and she’s always
available to do me right when everything around me seems to be going the other
way.”
Well said, Yem, even though you've not told us her name and all that.
