Prophet Noah Honour Akindele, founder of the Upper Room Ministry, spoke with OSEYIZA OOGBODO BLOG recently about the escalating issue of pastors sleeping with their flock as well as what God told him about Nigeria’s future.

Talking about Nigeria, what do you see? People are very concerned about the country’s future. Is it going to become better, or even worse? What do you see? People are really suffering and they really want to know if their situation will get better or worse still. Has God revealed anything to you about Nigeria’s future?

Nigeria will soon be better. Even with His grace, it’s better now, so we believe that it will soon be even better. We’re praying for our leaders, for God to touch them and direct them on what to do. And we the citizens have to be prayerful as well and also have the mind of truthfulness. God told me that very soon, He’s going to visit Nigeria with pleasure whereby everybody will be happy and God is going to destroy all the demonic spirits, the people the devil is using that don’t want the country to be better, God is going to destroy those spirits. By the grace of God, we’re going to enjoy in this country.

How soon do you think that will be?

You know it’s God, but I know it won’t be long. When God says He’s coming, you can’t predict when it’s going to be. But I know, before this regime, this our new era of government that we have now, I believe before their time is up, this country, everybody will be happy by the grace of God with prayer.

Nowadays we’ve many different stories of men of God sleeping with their congregation and committing other sins and crimes. How do you feel when you hear such stories?

I feel bad when I hear them. I feel unhappy, but what I think about them is that it’s the work of the devil, because for a person to be called a man of God to be doing those things, it’s not ordinary. I pray that God will deliver those people in those kinds of situations, and anybody having that mind now, God will deliver him. They need prayers. It’s not them. It’s devil that wants to disgrace the name of God in their life. That’s what I can say about it.
