Bahrain slams Turkey Libya move
Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkey President |
Even as the trend has been
severely condemned, it’s easy enough to see why it even trended against all
expectations.
The world is obviously in a
delicate state presently with armed conflicts virtually everywhere with no
signs of them ending and the Middle East situation now more volatile.
With this in mind, the Ministry
of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain has condemned the decision of the
Republic of Turkey to send military forces to Libya, stressing that this
decision is a rejected interference in the internal affairs of Libya and a
violation of international legitimacy and relevant Security Council
resolutions.
It added that the decision is
contrary to the Arab position adopted by the Council of the League of Arab
States on December 31, 2019 and impedes efforts to restore peace and stability
throughout Libya.
And it also urged the
international community to fulfill its responsibilities in addressing this
development which constitutes a threat to Arab national security and the entire
region.
