Johnson battles Trump, Xi for Africa’s soul
Johnson |
So the first-ever UK-Africa
Investment Summit is a first for the UK for several reasons, chief of which is
that its message to the US and China that it will not watch idly while they
continue to gorge themselves on Africa.
New UK Prime Minister Boris
Johnson is rearing to write himself into the history books and exploiting
Africa is one of the easiest and fastest ways to do that.
And with US President Donald
Trump and China President Xi Jinping already on the Africa cruise ahead of him,
Johnson is wasting no time to catch up with them.

To make African countries know
the UK should be their investment partner of choice, and to generate new
opportunities in Africa for businesses across the UK.
While virtually every country and
continent of the world are involved with themselves in one way or the other,
Johnson, Trump and Xi are not just any men but the most powerful in the world
and anything they do is in cold calculation for their countries’ sakes.
