Firstlove Assembly Lagos plans first year anniversary

Plans are currently in high gear for the celebration of the first year anniversary of Firstlove Assembly, Lagos branch which was inaugurated on June 1st, 2014. According to Reverend Simeon Afolabi, Serving Overseer, Firstlove Assembly, “Looking back at the past one year of our presence in Lagos, we can abundantly say that God is the brains behind it. This we know because of certain milestones we have recorded so far. Our story today is that of God’s favour, preservation, provision, and we have seen God raise a number of dedicated families who presently constitute the core of our operations.” Speaking further, he said, “We therefore consider it expedient to do an elaborate thanksgiving for what we have already seen. Consequently, Sunday, June 7th, 2015 has been dedicated to a special thanksgiving service at our worship place at The Jevinik Place, Isaac John Street, GRA, Ikeja.” He added that “let me reiterate what our mission is in this land. It is to lead sinners to the way of salvation, and saints to the knowledge of apostolic values and standards. No one needs a burden of proof to say that we live in a world of fallen standards. Our hunger therefore is to see Christianity delivered from the psychobabble it has been reduced to in many quarters by wolves falsely called shepherds. That is why we seek revival, restoration, and why we go by the name ‘Firstlove.’
