Jimi Solanke, Chris Ajilo, Beautiful Nubia for EMUfest 2015

We (EMUfest organisers) are pleased to announce the schedule for the 6th annual EniObanke Music Festival (EMUfest 2015). As in previous years, all the events are free and open to every member of the public. The festival commences on Thursday, November 5 with a songwriting and percussion workshop for all ages, followed by the very popular Talent Night where more than 25 emerging musicians will showcase their works with a live band. Both events will take place at EniObanke Arts Centre, 19 Adekunle Fajuyi Way, GRA Ikeja at 11am and 5pm respectively. On Friday, November 6, the festival shifts base to Ijebu-jesa, Osun State, where the townspeople and visitors will get to enjoy performances by legendary highlifer Chris Ajilo, Beautiful Nubia and others as part of the town's annual heritage celebration called Egboro Day. This concert will hold at Ijebu-jesa Town Hall from 5pm until late in the evening. The festival train rolls into Ibadan on Saturday, November 7 with a concert scheduled to hold at Alliance Francaise, 7th Day Road, Iyaganku from 5pm until 9pm. The EMUfest Grand Concert, which has always been the highpoint of the festival, holds on Sunday, November 8 at the aforementioned EniObanke Arts Centre, starting from 3pm until 9pm. It will be headlined by the highly acclaimed storyteller, dramatist and musician, 'Baba Agba' Jimi Solanke, Beautiful Nubia and many other folk music innovators. Unlike previous years, however, the Grand Concert will not mark the end of this year's festival. On Saturday, November 14, EMUfest will feature a special concert as part of the annual Lagos Book and Art Festival.
