Marta tips Martens for best female player award

Female football legend, Marta,
has spoken to fifa.com about the upcoming The Best FIFA Football Awards on
October 23 in London and said she believes Lieke Martens of the Netherlands
will win the women’s player category.
Martens is shortlisted alongside
Venezuela’s Deyna Castellanos and USA’s two-time winner Carli Lloyd.
A five-time winner herself, she
told fifa.com that “I think the (main) competition of this year will be the
EURO. And Netherlands won, and Martens was the best player of the competition
and I believe she has many chances to be the best player of the world."
So will Martens win the coveted
award, as Marta feels?
