Lois Smith succumbs to Twitter

Hollywood and Broadway rejoice as
legendary stage and screen actress Lois Smith has finally begun using Twitter
in a world that’s increasingly difficult to survive without Twitter, FaceBook
and many other social sites!
So, in celebration of her 87th
birthday, she has taken on a new role that may prove to be one of the most
demanding and difficult challenges of her six-decade career: Twitter user.
Recently nominated for an IFP
Gotham Award for her role as Marjorie in Michael Almereyda's acclaimed film Marjorie Prime, Lois has taken the leap
into the digital age with her newly verified Twitter account.
When asked about her Twitter
debut, an existential Lois said, "I don't know what I'm doing here, but
I'm always up for new experiences."
Lois is joining Twitter in
concert with FilmRise's Oscar campaign for Marjorie
Prime as well as the release of her latest film, Greta Gerwig's Lady Bird.
With a combination of grace,
humor and more than 60 years experience as an actress, the insight Lois brings
to Twitter may just break the internet.
