Akpan calls for public support to feed Nigeria’s poor people

Natural Healing Foundation, the non-governmental organization founded by Dennis Akpan primarily to feed the multitude of poor people in Nigeria, has called out for public support so it can feed as many poor people as possible on Nigeria’s upcoming Independence Day, October 1.

According to Akpan, in order to feed the poor people resident at Oko Baba Destitute Home, Yaba on that day, NHF needs bags of rice, meat, chicken, turkey, fish, beans, other cooking ingredients as well as drinks.

And speaking with Oseyiza Oogbodo Blog on the Independence Day feeding, he said, “October 1 is a special day in Nigeria and we want to feed these poor people in a special way thereby on that day. But we do not have all the necessary resources so we want the general public, corporate bodies and anyone who can support us to get in touch with us.

“We need bags of rice, pepper, cooking oil, meat, condiments and logistics expenses.
