I’m selling Africa –Larry Omodia

Larry Omodia (pictured), CEO, African Television, has told Oseyiza Oogbodo Blog that he’s a salesman who can sell anything and his primary product is his continent of origin, Africa.

Based in Europe presently, OOB met him in Lagos, Nigeria recently during a brief visit to lay the groundwork for the successful commencement of AFtv in Nigeria, and he was full of confidence in himself and in his intentions and he didn’t shy away from answering any questions, the trait associated with people unsure of themselves.

According to him, he founded AFtv because he wanted to tell the African story to the world because he was tired of all the negative stories about Africa in the western media.

And as an astute salesman, his AFtv policy prevents it from broadcasting anything negative about Africa.

“African Television sells only the good and positive stories about Africa. There are many positive African stories which the western media chose to ignore as they prefer the negative ones. But then, we can’t expect them to tell our stories for us and that’s what African Television does.”

And his positive Africa policy is really working for him as AFtv is currently the most successful Africa content TV station in Europe where it’s headquartered with many branches in Africa and the Nigeria branch to kick off fully later in 2019.
