CitizenGO battles Kenya first lady on abortion
Margaret Kenyatta |
The international human rights
non-governmental organization, CitizenGO, has presently taken on the First Lady
of Kenya, Margaret Kenyatta, over her alleged abortion stance.
According to an email circular by
the highly respected NGO: “The ‘Beyond Zero Campaign,’ an Initiative by the
First Lady of Kenya claims to ensure policy prioritization, resource allocation
and improved service delivery for mothers and children in Kenya. To achieve
this, the office of the first lady has organized marathons and distributed
mobile clinics to counties in a bid to reduce maternal deaths and empower
mothers in the country.
“While the campaign is well
meant, what happened a few weeks ago is very shocking. The office of the first
lady had put together a side event inside the United Nations Headquarters in
New York in a bid to educate other countries on achievements she has achieved
with her campaign. What really was appalling is that the only panelist
available in her event was the head of Ford Foundation, a leading pro-abortion
crusader in the United States.
“It goes unsaid what happens at
the United Nations during the Commission on the Status of Women, many
pro-abortion feminists gather in New York to advocate for abortion and among others
contraception as a way to empower women in the grassroots.
“While it’s not shocking for Ford
Foundation to be at the Commission, it begs many questions for Ford Foundation
to be present at the first lady's event in an event that claims to promote maternal
health.
“Later after the event, First
Lady Kenyatta had a follow up meeting with the pro-abortion advocates Ford
Foundation at their offices and had this to tweet:
I am grateful to the @FordFoundation for its continued support which
has greatly contributed to the success of the @BeyondZeroKenya initiative

“Ford Foundation frequently
collaborated with the Rockerfeller Foundation both in funding
population-control programs and in lobbying for more money on population
control after these programs were taken over by national and international
agencies from 1965 onwards. In its website, Ford Foundation takes pride of partnering
with organisations worldwide to fund abortions.
“In the United States, Ford
Foundation is known for their pro-abortion activism, recently they funded
activists to rally outside the USA supreme court to support abortion rights.
“This begs the question, while
the First Lady claims to promote maternal health for Kenyans, is it right for
her to dine with the same people who fund baby massacres across the globe? Does
she have to partner with abortion groups to fund her campaign and really, what
is her stance on abortion?
“Sign this petition, http://www.citizengo.org/en-af/lf/169904-ask-beyond-zero-campaign-stop-partnering-abortionists,
asking Margaret Kenyatta to cut ties with abortionists, failure to which
Kenyans will boycott her campaign.”
Kind regards.
