Nigerians urged on creative development
Residents of Uyo, the Akwa Ibom
State capital, people of the state, and Nigerians in general have been adviced
to develop themselves creatively to become self employed.
And one of the ways they can do
so, according to Lady Itohoukeme Elijah, is by participating in the Roekif
Craft trainings on how to make bags, purses, ties (both male and female),
belts, wallets, jewelry and many more.
“We’re presently holding a 2-week
intensive training on making different items that will help people become self
employed through the development of their innate creative abilities. Though the
training has commenced already since April 23, we can still accommodate anyone
who wants to join,” said Elijah, the trainings’ convener.
She added that the two-week
trainings will end on May 10 and that they are flexible with both morning and
afternoon sessions holding at 10 am - 12 noon and 3 - 5 pm respectively.
She added further that there’s a
participation fee of N2500 and that this particular trainings are targeted at
people based in Akwa Ibom because they’re holding at a venue beside Jeconiah
Hospital, Apostolic Road, Eden Urua, off Banking Layout, Udo Udoma Avenue, Uyo,
Akwa Ibom.
“Any interested Nigerian who can
make it to the venue can actually participate. We’ll be taking the trainings
around the country but anyone who can’t wait until we come to their state can
join us at this Uyo training.”
Note: All successful participants will be given certificate of
participation and an opportunity to participate at the upcoming Nigeria
Television Fashion Show and Needlekraft Fashion Show 2019 in Lagos.
