‘My friend’s wife wants to kill him’

A Lagos resident, Biodun Omotosho, has told Oseyiza Oogbodo Blog that the life of his best friend, Gabriel Fakomogbon, is under threat from the most astonishing of sources: his wife.

According to him, trouble began between the seemingly happily married Fakomogbons when Gabriel discovered that his wife was committing serial infidelity.

“It was a shock to him because he really loved her which is why he married her in 2011 and they have a son together. So when he found out just over a year ago that she was having suspicious conversations on the phone, he tapped her phone and the result was very shocking.

“His wife was having online sex chats with men from all over the world and it didn’t just stop at harmless chatting but involved sex as she would go out to places she couldn’t account for. So he stopped sleeping with her to guard himself against sexually transmitted infections but that didn’t make her change her bad ways.

“Rather, she got worse and things got to a head when he stumbled on her having a nude video chat with one of her numerous foreign lovers. He got mad of course, grabbed her phone and she slapped him. He lost his head, returned the slap and she became very enraged and went for a knife with the intention of stabbing him. He tried to avoid her and she got him in the second finger of his right hand as he made his escape.”

Presently, Omotosho says he doesn’t know where Gabriel is, that he might even have been killed, as the last time they spoke, Gabriel told him he had had to go into hiding because his wife had sent people after him to kill him.

“When we spoke on phone last, he told me that some sinister-looking boys were following his car and he alerted a police vehicle to them. The police arrested them but when he went to the station the following day, he saw his wife coming out with the boys and he ran away fearing for his life as it became apparent to him that she was the one who set them onto him.

“Now I don’t know where he is and I’m just hoping he’s okay as his number doesn’t go through again.”
