Is Africa really important to China?

The above questions have become
very imperative to be answered by African leaders for the sake of Africa going
by the surprising revelation that for the last thirty years, Africa is the
first continent for choice of visit by Chinese foreign ministers.
So the question again, why is Africa
so important to China?
Is it because as is being claimed
in several quarters that it’s being massively exploited by China, and there are
several allegations abounding of African governments now under China’s yoke
from crippling debts and agreements?
Or is China really looking out
for Africa as claimed by its foreign minister, Wang Yi, recently?
According to him, Africa and
China are similar, both are developing, they’ve been cooperating for years and
it’s important to maintain the partnership.
All very noble reasons that we
can only hope are indeed genuine as Africa has been exploited enough by the
world.
