Ghana, Czechoslovakia shed light on life and death

The conjoined issues of life and death are extremely paramount to humans so it’s quite understandable that Czechoslovakia festival, Tanec Praha, and the University of Ghana tried to shed light on them recently.

And they did so in a novel way through an unexpected but popular and relatable medium: dance.

Specifically a dance performance based on interviews with multiple people from both Ghana and Czechoslovakia to show various points of view at the very same questions.

After a year of seeking answers to universal questions about life and death and the related cultural attitudes and traditional concepts thereof within the Ghanaian and Czech societies through a collaborative research project, dancers from Tanec Praha and the Ghana Dance Ensemble were mandated to project the answers they got to the world through the dance performance.

And they gave a good account of themselves and the task assigned to them when they jointly performed the dance, Eymen - Point of View, on August 3 and 4, 2021 at the University of Ghana and Madina Market respectively.

Will this dance of life and death eventually set the world on fire?

That’s quite intriguing.
