‘Who should be the next President of Nigeria?’

Shosanya
Babatunde Oluwaseyi Shosanya is a musician who is very passionate about music education because of

the value of music to the world.

And just as passionate as he is about music is he also about who Nigeria’s next President will be which is what virtually every Nigerian is concerned about since the country is believed to have experienced decline since 2015 when the Muhammadu Buhari became the current President.

Since the President’s decisions, and Nigeria’s situation, affects everyone, it’s unsurprising therefore that Shosanya is quite concerned about the emergence of Nigeria’s next President, so much so that he had to share his views about it with the world.

And baring his mind on it, he said, “With profound humility and diligence to fellow Nigerians, it’s no longer news that the next Presidential election will be held on February 18, 2023. But in searching for our next President, it’s pertinent for Nigerians to look inward and aggressively vote for a competent and visionary leader that has a futuristic plan to bring back the glory of our land and restore our unity.

“There's absolutely nothing we can do about what has happened in the past, we can only learn from it. However, we can go the extra mile with our resources and intellect to change the future of this country. Nigerians deserve the best. We need a President that will have a strong vision for the country and have the courage to make unpopular decisions, an effective President with a good character, integrity, communication skills and the conscience to consider their own input in the perspective of history.

“As a citizenry, we’ve a vital role to play in sustaining and building this country. In addition, our leaders should begin to rethink and involve the youths in governance and decision making. Nigerians are among the most educated around the world. However, we don’t have a good and visionary leader. But Nigerians deserve to have a leader that will be God-fearing, understand human behavior, be emotionally intelligent, be vast in economy and is ready to invest heavily on human capital. The time has come for the truth to be spoken in my generation for a new Nigeria to emerge.”

Well-said, Shosanya.
