Ogbono soup lands Dr SID in hot soup

When rapper-turned-singer Dr SID did a song and titled it Chop Ogbono, ogbono being the name of a soup, little did he guess that the song would literally land him in hot soup. But that is what has happened, as the remix of the song, which features hot rapper, Olamide, is being severely bashed online subsequent to the release of its video. The comments did not spare Dr SID whom, despite having recorded a number of smash hits that include Pop Champagne and Surulere, was told that he doesn’t know how to sing and that his main backer in music, Don Jazzy, is just wasting his time on him. Dr SID just didn’t sit back and let the comments pass by, though. He came back at those who commented, but in a diplomatic way and tried to make light of the situation. One thing is obvious from Dr SID’s online saga. With Mavin Records, his label, now having really fresh new talents in the likes of Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and Di’Ja that people are preferring more at this point in time, Mavin’s older artists, Dr SID included, will have to work extra hard to please fans who now believe they have an option.
