How Teni made Oluomo NURTW chairman

Teni
It’s no longer news that Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, is now the chairman of the Lagos State arm of the Nigeria Union of Road Transport Workers.

What’s news however is how Oluomo finally got to attain the position which he has coveted for years and has faced stiff opposition for from the likes of Tajudeen Agbede and Kunle Poly.

One of Oluomo’s strategies in trying to get the position has been of becoming a celebrated figure through his association with celebrities whose fame then rubbed off on him.

So he became so popular that since he was the chairman of the Oshodi, Lagos NURTW, it was expected that he had to go higher as he had made the name and wherever his name was mentioned, it was known and accepted.

Yet, despite his colossal fame, he didn’t attain the Lagos chairmanship which would be the step further that could eventually take him to the most desired national president position.
Oluomo
Now enter the fabulous singer, Teni.

She released the song, Case, which was practically a worship of Oluomo and a praise of his influence and capabilities. Case, a song that should appeal to the society’s lower cadres basically, became not just their national anthem, but that of the high and mighty as well, and it is this song’s massive unprecedented success that can be said to have been the factor that ensured that Oluomo finally became the Lagos NURTW chairman as the song spread his name to virtually every corner to the extent that it was a no-brainer that he should be made the chairman.

And don’t be surprised if he eventually becomes the national president.
