CRBAN-Ayetoro Lagos drags Eko Electricity to court
The Coalition of Residents and Businesses Association of Nigeria (CRBAN), Ayetoro Chapter, has decided to drag the Eko Electricity Distribution Company PLC to court over EKEDP’s unsatisfactory service.
In a letter signed by Otunba Frank Omaboe, Franci Iyonmana and Jide Akinboyede, addressed to the CEO, EKEDP, and made available to Sunday Mirror, CRBAN-Ayetoro told EKEDP that “we have decided to take you to court following your company’s failure to meet our demands or respond to our several letters of complaints.”
Speaking with Sunday Mirror, CRBAN said “we are tired of EKEDP’s terrible provision of electricity to us residents and businesses in the Ayetoro, idowu Randle, Humuani, Ramlat Timson, Martins, Victor Olaiya, Idahosa, Babalola, Basiyi, Adeomo-Olubiyi, Shittu Oridota and environs of Aguda, Surulere, Lagos.
“So we wrote them on April 16th to complaint about their poor service but they never replied. We then sent follow-up letters on April 23rd and June 3rd and still got no response. In light of their refusal, we have resolved to take them to court so they can meet our demands of giving us pre-maid meters that will prevent crazy billing, illegal disconnection of electricity and other such atrocities.”
The letter was also copied to the Area Commander, Area C; the DPO, Soloki Police Station, Aguda; HRH Oba SA Osunbade, Olugbon of Olugbon Land; Pastor TundeBakare, Convener, Save Nigeria Group; and the CDA, Ayetoro Community.
