Uwaifo, 2face thrill in concert ... as 74-yr-old Uwaifo does 70 pushups on stage

The highly publicised Eargasm lived up to its billings when two legends from different generations came together and delivered what has been described as a once-in-a-lifetime performance. It is the first time ever that the two would grace the stage together. Sir Victor Uwaifo and 2face made history with a sonic duet at the highly successful Eargasm event held on July 26, 2015 at the prestigious ThisDay Dome, Abuja. The import of this event for those who missed it is like that of a comet, they may have to wait a mighty long time for another like it. Also on the bandstand were class acts from the old school: Sunny Neji and Daniel Wilson were some of them; and new school acts: Niyola, Olu Maintain, Yung6ix and others. Neji’s set whipped up fond memories with a smooth performance of Marvin Gaye’s classic from the 70s, Let’s Get It On. Wilson also did not disappoint as he demonstrated why he was called OBB, Original Bad Boy, back in the day. Another performance of note was R&B sensation, Niyola’s rendition of the National Anthem which sent chills down the spines of an excited crowd. Perhaps the highest point of the night that really got the capacity crowd going was Sir Victor Uwaifo teasing the younger artists with an amazing 70 pushups right on stage before launching into an energetic performance that got everyone stunned and also brought down the roof of the massive dome. 2face and Uwaifo also performed their collaboration, Tupepe, off Uwaifo’s double album, Legend Reborn. The event was hosted by an industry veteran and Abuja’s most wanted radio and TV personality, Wale Ewedemi of Kiss FM who added blazing colour to the show which contributed to making the event a classic experience. Eargasm was put together by the game-changing Buckwyld Media Network.
