CitizenGO keeps battling alleged Nigeria Christian genocide

Muhammadu Buhari, Nigeria President
The international non-governmental organization, CitizenGO, has insisted it will keep battling Nigeria over what it describes as Christian genocide.

An advocacy email signed by its Ann Kioko and sent to Oseyiza Oogbodo Blog says it all.

The email reads:

Every time I follow up the news on Nigeria, the more I get upset and disturbed!

The last time I wrote to you about the status of Christian persecution in Nigeria, I asked you to stand with Pastor Lawan Andimi who by then was still alive and had recorded a plea to be saved from Boko Haram captivity in a video that had gone viral.

He’s now dead as he was killed by the insurgents a day after we sent the email to you!

I had also asked you to keep helping us fight for young Leah Sharibu who has been under Boko Haram captivity for over a year now. She was captured amongst her other schoolmates but she refused to denounce Jesus Christ and thus was not released by the insurgents. The latest news about her is rather heartbreaking. Numerous sources have reported she is now the wife of one of the Boko Haram commanders and has already borne him a baby boy. She was also forced to convert to Islam.

The other disturbing report is of four seminarians who were captured days ago and held captive. The Catholic seminarians namely Pius Kanwai, 19, Peter Umenukor, 23, Stephen Amos, 23, and 18-year-old Michael Nnadi had just started their studies to be priests. Three of them are still held captive as one of them was released after he sustained bad injuries after being beaten by his captors for refusing to accept Islam.

It is time we said enough to Christian genocide in the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If nothing is done about the situation, evidently this won’t stop!

Stand to be counted in the fight for religious freedom in Nigeria. Every signature sends an email to the Minister of Defence Maj. General Bashir Salihi Magashi asking him to end Christian persecution once and for all in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

We will make sure that your signature and those of all that sign are received by the top brass in the Federal Government of Nigeria, that is why we need more signatures for this petition, as we would want to get over 150,000 signatures to be able to pile more pressure.
