Argentina v Cape Verde dark horse World Cup clash ... Cape Verde President talking cheap?

At the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026, one country that nobody expected anything of was Cape Verde.

But since its opening match with the powerful football nation, Spain, in which it prevented Spain’s football geniuses, Rodrigo, Lamine Yamal and so on from scoring, all eyes have been on Cape Verde.

And when against all expectations it qualified for the next round of the World Cup, more eyes became focused on it especially as its opponent in that next round is the defending champion, Argentina, whose talisman is the great footballer, Lionel Messi.

Nevertheless that Argentina is supposed to swipe Cape Verde away thereby, the fact that Cape Verde was able to hold Spain and qualify for the next round has made it a dark horse at the competition so people are highly anticipating what will actually happen in the clash with Argentina.

Cape Verde President Jose Maria Neves however believes sincerely that his country will win Argentina, even if it’s by just a goal.

Is it just cheap talk however?
