Why is UEFA, that slammed the US over a Somalia referee, silent about the EU's controversial foreign prison camps?
When the United States of America prevented Somalia referee from entering the US to officiate at the FIFA World Cup 2026, the whole world cried about how the US was such a big bully.
UEFA, a football body based in Europe took the
immediate step of spiting and rebuking the US by appointing Artan to officiate
the UEFA Super Cup final 2026.
This in spite of him not being an European referee.
And all well and good that UEFA rose to his defense
from the big, bad bully US.
But whilst US is battling the bully abroad, how about
that at home?
Because the premise on which UEFA defended Artan is
immigration.
And the EU which UEFA is closer to as it operates in
Europe has passed laws that allow its member countries to create foreign
deportation camps outside the EU and some people say these foreign deportation
camps are prison camps.
So, where is the outrage from UEFA at this unjust
action that is closer to home?
Or is their outrage only based on double standard or
just rank hypocrisy?
That’s not really a hard question.
