Different strokes? ... Philipp Awounou protects Bastian Schweinsteiger from Emerse Fae
FIFA World Cup 2026 raci*m controversy
Ivory Coast national football team coach, Emerse Fae,
unequivocally blasted German football legend Bastian Schweinsteiger as being probably
raci*t for saying ahead of Germany and Ivory Coast’s World Cup group stage game
that African football is wild and unorthodox.
Despite Fae’s strong stance on Schweinsteiger, sports
media personality, Philipp Awounou, who’s in the same professional space as
Schweinsteiger is now, rose stoutly to his defense.
According to him, Schweinsteiger, who made his purportedly
controversial comments primarily because he’s a media analyst of the World Cup,
is definitely not raci*t because of them.
And while it can’t be determined if Awounou is defending
Schweinsteiger morally-justifiably or not, and neither can Fae be said to be
justified or not to accuse Schweinsteiger of raci*m, one thing is plainly
obvious.
Life is indeed about different strokes for different
folks hence Fae and Awounou’s vastly differing views of Schweinsteiger’s alleged
raci*m.
