Jurgen Klopp scared by Bastian Schweinsteiger raci*m question?
Suddenly, the FIFA World Cup 2026 was engulfed in a racism row from comments by Bayern Munich and Germany football legend, Bastian Schweinsteiger.
Commenting before Germany would play against Ivory
Coast, he said African football was wild and unorthodox, and, reacting after
the game that Ivory Coast lost 2 - 1 to a late come-from-behind rally from
Germany, Emerse Fae, the Ivory Coast coach, didn’t hold back with his opinion
that Schweinsteiger is raci*t and that his comments were made deliberately.
And this latter belief of Fae’s that the comments
were deliberately made suggest that Schweinsteiger might have been playing mind
games as football games aren’t won only on the pitch.
And with reactions to the issue flying all about,
Philipp Awounou, a media personality, came out boldly to defend
Schweinsteiger’s honor that he isn’t racist.
Surprisingly, though, Jurgen Klopp, the Liverpool FC
and Borussia Dortmund German coaching legend, refused to give his opinion about
it when he was asked by the German media outlet, DW.
And, considering how easily Awounou opined that he
doesn’t think Schweinsteiger is raci*t, and the heavens haven’t fallen because
of it, it’s rather surprising that Klopp refused to react to the issue and even
accused DW of trying to set him up though they are from his country.
So, is it that Klopp, a grown-ass man, was scared of
this simple question?
You be the judge of that.
