Poison is allegedly what killed Sam Obiago the Nollywood star.

Though his death on Thursday December 23, 2021 was a shock to most people as it was unexpected, it wouldn’t have really been so to his colleagues.

According to allegations flying around about the cause of his death, he was poisoned on set some time ago and the poison is what finally took his life though every effort was made to save it which was why he didn’t die right away.

The news of his alleged poisoning during the course of his work has been met with belief by some actors, actresses and other Nollywood practitioners who reacted that indeed there’s no real love in Nollywood.

Over the years, there’ve been allegations of unnecessary jealousy in Nollywood and some prominent practitioners who’ve revealed some of the negativity in Nollywood include Alex Ekubo who said recently that there’s so much bitterness there and Jaiye Kuti who said once that she wasn’t welcomed warmly to Nollywood.
