Guinness World Records now seem so cheap

A Guinness World Records certification is a highly coveted achievement.

And since they are certified for only achievements that no one else has attained worldwide or those set by others that are then broken, people go to great lengths that sometimes test them physically just to get the certification that can open doors for them worldwide.

And whilst some just achieve GWR certifiable records in the course of going about their normal careers, others have to really go out of their way to earn them.

They come up with the idea for a record they feel they can make happen, set it in motion and sometimes just as they set it, it is broken just  a few hours later as someone inspired by the idea also sets theirs in motion.

In a nutshell, getting a GWR certification is supposed to be a herculean task.

Kenya chef, Dorcas Kwamboka aka Dorky Dorcas, has however cast doubt on the value of a GWR certification as she has publicly burned the one she earned for making three chapatis in the fastest time ever of 2 minutes and 26.92 seconds.

And she claimed to burn it because people have been cyber-bullying her since she earned it.

Her quick burning of it however seems to prove that she got it very cheaply and since people don’t value cheap things, she was able to burn it so easily thereby.

Just an all-round embarrassment!
