A better dilemma? Having reasons to want both Spain and Argentina to win the World Cup final
Probably the greatest thing about football is that no game is insignificant.
The teams are either playing for money, pride, glory,
history, to avoid relegation, to qualify for a tournament and so on.
It’s a continuous battle that makes football exciting
and since it’s cross-connected worldwide, the so-called neutral observer of a
game doesn’t really exist.
So, even if it’s not the football club or country you
support that’s involved in a game, you can’t be neutral really about it because
they have players or reasons that neutralize your neutrality.
And the FIFA World Cup 2026 final today between Spain
and Argentina is no different in that regard.
There are several reasons I want them both to win so
thank God that it’s a better dilemma to have than most in life.
And as to which will actually win?
That’s the one thing that’s still constant in
football.
The best team on the day always wins.
