Argentina absurd World Cup final display brings out Messi, Scaloni teary-acting talents
Argentina’s loss to Spain in the FIFA World Cup 2026 final was stunning.
Just as stunning as well was that after the game, the
Argentina captain and talisman, the great Lionel Messi, burst into tears right
there on the pitch.
And in a press conference afterward, the team’s
manager, the legendary Lionel Scaloni, also burst into tears.
Whilst football is such a game of grief that makes
grown men like them cry justifiably-unjustifiably, in their case this time,
their tears can be said to be just crocodile tears because they didn’t play the
game they should have in the final.
In fact, their play was so absurd that they didn’t
have a single shot on target in 120 minutes of football whilst Spain had eleven.
And they had just three goal attempts whilst Spain
had twenty.
So, based on those very damning statistics, their
tears seemed more like they were just acting for the cameras.
And that is one thing footballers and people in the
football world really love to do.
