Who's winning the Tyla Ayra Starr African music princess battle?

The world is all about rivalry, especially when it is healthy.

Such rivalries are between countries, brands, products, people and so on.

Examples include Coca-Cola versus Pepsi, Apple v Samsung, Tupac Shakur v Notorious BIG and Lionel Messi v Cristiano Ronaldo.

One such rivalry that is simmering currently is between the songbirds, Tyla of South Africa, and Ayra Starr of Nigeria, with both countries as well also locked in their own intense battle to be known as Africa’s top country.

In the case of the two singing girls, though, their battle is for whom will be known as Africa’s undisputed music princess.

Starr initially seemed to be winning the battle with her global smash hit, Rush.

Tyla countered her and stopped her swashbuckling momentum with her own global smash, Water.

Now, after several more releases by both, Tyla is undeniably coming out tops for now.

Starr is however a very determined and ambitious girl who keeps scheming on how to make the African music princess crown all her own and her ongoing moves can turn the tide her way any time any day.

And with Tyla’s sophomore album, A*POP, due for release on July 24, and Starr’s third album, Starr Girl, due on August 14, the albums’ performances will further prove where each one stands in their battle because it’s either Tyla’s earlier release submerges Starr’s or Starr’s later release overshadows Tyla’s.

And so the battle continues and may the best girl triumph.
